THE SUNDAY BEAUTY LIST
When Sunday rolls around there's only one thing upon my agenda; tumbling into the tub with a tonne of beauty products, a pile of magazines, and ALL of the candles - my bathroom fast comes to resemble something of a makeshift spa.
And what occasion more fitting to indulge than when a four-day weekend is up for the taking??
See below for my tried, tested, and treasured Sunday beauty lineup.
Acqua di Parma Italian Resort Body Scrub* This scent has to be one of my all-time favourites, and as the days grow longer, brighter, and warmer, I find myself reaching for it more and more frequently. Its scent is all things summer [I know we're still in April, but a girl can dream]. Rich and creamy, it leaves my skin with a silken texture and radiant glow which has me raring for bikini season. Exfoliation has never been more luxe.
Acqua di Parma Toning Body Oil* Paired with the above, the absolute dream team of body care. The fragrance is even more concentrated in this product - warm, rich, and slightly masculine; I could happily sit and smell the bottle cap all day long. The oil itself is a dream to use; non-sticky, fast-absorbing, and with a formula which renders the aroma so long-lasting you'll be earning compliments all day [and night] long.
Carthusia Aloe Body Wash* Nothing quite wakes me up like the sharp and vibrant scent of this spring-perfect body wash, so when an AM spa-session is on the agenda, this is my in-shower cleanser of choice. It's fresh, uplifting, and oh so ideal.
Baldwins Revitalising Bath Salts* If I'm favouring a bath over a shower then I'll swap out the above for this equally invigorating scent sensation. Lavender, peppermint, and lemon renders this one of the most revitalising and refreshing products I have ever used. Guaranteed to jolt me [in the best of ways] out of that Sunday lie-in induced sluggishness in a way that not even a supersize cappuccino could hope to.
Chanel No5 The Body Lotion Without a doubt, the ultimate luxury bathing product; I mean just look at that bottle. This velvety soft cream is a luxe comfort blanket for the skin, certain to boost your spirit as well as your moisture levels.
Sachajuan Hair Repair* Aside from the scent, the packaging, and the fact that this makes your hair look and feel like you've just spent the day in the salon [having your locks tended to by a master hairdresser], I adore this mask for the fact that it is without a doubt the most effortless and foolproof haircare product ever. I mean, what could possibly be better than a leave-in hair mask??
& Other Stories Nail Colour in Swanskin Beige This delicate pink-toned nude is designed with a French manicure in mind, but [as I have neither the time nor the patience] I usually wear it solo. It's subtle, pretty, and has the added bonus of elongating the fingers in that way that only the best nudes can. It looks clean and expensive, and is barely perceptible as it begins to chip [which it does in no hurry]. & Other Stories' polishes get the thumbs up from me.
SUQQU Musculate Massage Cream* My obsession with SUQQU's Gankin massage reigns supreme; not a day has passed in the last months that I haven't spent my morning and evening pummelling this luxuriously velvety cream into my cheeks. Not only does my face feel noticeably more toned and somehow 'awake' but my hydration levels are soaring and makeup is applying like a dream.
Sisley Radiant Glow Express Mask* The crowning glory of my face mask collection, I use this when my skin is in a good place. For that reason it's been gathering dust in my skincare cabinet for a fair few months, until I recently deemed my complexion to be in a condition worth treating. Enriched with rosehip, rosemary, and chamomile, and designed to boost, brighten, and clarify; this is a product which demonstrates immediate effects.
Diptyque Baies Scented Candle Diptyque have earned their reputation as everyone's favourite candle manufacturer for good reason. These candles last, they burn beautifully, and they boast scents set to upgrade both your mood and your bathroom ambience. Baies is a rich and fruity concoction of blackcurrant and rose [not the stuffy kind].
